Meet the Leadership Team
When Michael Miller founded Miller Pools back in 1993, he had a simple mission in mind.
To provide pool owners in Pasadena, Humble, Atascocita, and the surrounding areas of Texas with dedicated pool maintenance, pool care, and pool remodeling services that allow people to make the most of their backyard swimming pools.
In the intervening years, our business has grown exponentially, but this mission remains the same and is a sentiment our current leadership team continues to champion throughout the organization.
The Miller Pools team includes:
Christian is in charge of the sales of weekly cleaning services along with keeping track of all inquiries. Christian is also in the remodel department assisting Michael by measuring pools and putting together bids for jobs to send to clients.
After completing sales, Christian often goes out to start the pools up on weekly route services in order for the cleaners to be able to clean the pools efficiently. He deposits the checks of those customers who are not on credit card payments and processes service tickets. Helping customers on the phone and in person at the storefront is also part of Christian’s daily responsibilities. Christian is the son of the founder Michael Miller and has been involved with the company for the majority of his life.
James is in charge of all of the pool cleaners here at Miller Pools. He builds and alters all the pool cleaners’ routes for all their daily tasks. James utilizes a website called Skimmer which helps the cleaners get to their pools and report to the customers what was done on a weekly basis. Scheduling filter cleans and handling any extraneous issues with customers accordingly is also part of James’ daily responsibilities. He also takes applications and interviews potential employees. James has been with Miller Pools for five years, working his way up and has been a vital help in making sure our cleaners are able to get the job done.
Joe makes sure that all of the pool cleaners have the correct chemicals and that they are fully equipped to complete their routes every day. He is also in charge of all the billing of the weekly maintenance customers along with billing out of any other extraneous charges as well. Mailing out paper invoices and keeping track of the daily chemical count are also part of Joe’s many responsibilities here at Miller Pools. Joe has been with Miller Pools for 25 years and has been an integral part of the company ever since he joined the company.
Johnny’s responsibilities include overseeing day-to-day operations here at Miller Pools, ensuring all the pool technicians are fully equipped, and resolving any issues accordingly. Johnny is also in charge of processing service tickets along with billing out the invoices to the customers once they are completed. Another one of the many aspects of the business Johnny handles is payroll, along with assisting customers in person at our storefront and on the phone. Johnny has been with Miller Pools for 20 years and is the most knowledgeable in everything pools related.
The founder of Miller Pools, Michael has spent more than 30 years working as an expert pool technician. A certified service professional and stain specialist, he is also the President of the Southwest Pool & Spa Show Volunteer Board and has previously served as the President of the Houston Chapter PHTA where he is currently the Vice-President. In addition to this, he was also an APSP fellow in 2015.
He’s also hosted the Backyard Bay radio program for many years, a call-in show on swimming pools and has worked as the moderator for the Region III conference keynote speaker’s panel.
In his spare time Michael also volunteers as a coach and director at the West University Challenger Baseball Division, a league that allows all children a chance to play the sport.
